I am a Welsh woman writer, presently exiled in England but not very far away and still making regular trips back to both Mid and North Wales.
Having initially self published both a novel and a novella, I began work on a historical novel based on the life of my Great Grandmother and the years she spent at Gregynog Hall. The book, People Like Us, was published in 2021 by Y Lolfa and was well received throughout Powys and farther afield at that time.
I am now working on my next book which is set in Powis Castle and brings together both the lives of the girls who were evacuated there during WW2 and a present day story of a troubled teenager. My writing has always been inspired by some event, person or place in history as I find social history to be a wonderful journey of discovery and there are so many lessons to be learned from the lives of our ancestors.
I have run a writing group for many years and enjoy giving talks about writing in general and my books.
