Hannah Evans was born and raised in Swansea, and is of Welsh, Irish, Grenadian and English descent. Hannah was shortlisted for the 2020 WriteNow programme with Penguin Random House, and took part in Hachette’s Future Bookshelf initiative in the same year. Her debut novel ‘The Mapmaker’s Wife’ is inspired by her grandparents’ international love story, and is published by Orion Fiction in May 2024.
Hannah now lives in Swansea and works as a copywriter and communications strategist, alongside fiction writing. Hannah is passionate about access to the arts and breaking down barriers to the publishing world, and so is happy to be contacted by aspiring writers and educators looking for creative workshops.
