Alison is a screenwriter, playwright and short story writer with experience as a producer, graphic designer and sculptor/art curator. Her first short film, ‘Pastry’ (2016, Dir. Eduardo Barreto, https://vimeo.com/166188485) was officially selected in 38 film festivals including Cannes 2016 (Court Métrage) and was televised internationally by both Eurochannel and Lesflicks SVOD.

In 2018, her first play had a staged reading at Space Theatre (London) and one of her short monologues was published in a print anthology and online in the same year. Her feature script, ‘A Shallow Drowning’, reached Top-3 in its category in the Final Draft Big Break Contest 2020 and her writing has been long- and short-listed in many competitions, including PAGE, TSL, BBC Drama Awards and the inaugural Thousand Films/Sid Gentle TV Writing Competition 2019.

Her second short film, ‘CC Junkie’, (2020, Dir. Nick Swannell, https://vimeo.com/463017550) was completed after the interruption of the first 4-month lockdown in the UK and, in April 2020, she joined the writing team on an Amuse Animation ‘Car City’ show for pre-schoolers.

Alison’s first feature film, a crime drama called ‘Scam’, was shot in Pembrokeshire in June 2021, released in 2022, and is now streaming on Prime and Apple TV.

Alison enjoys exploring themes of love, loss, and belonging in her writing, and she likes to create punchy, psychological dramas and quirky dark comedies where subversive female characters play a pivotal role.
